The Details:
Joyce and Stephen are a lovely couple from Houston, TX who were introduced to Blue Rock through their coordinator, Crissalane Discher . Stephen has a lake house on Lake Travis so they were familiar with the area and felt it was a fit for the relaxed atmosphere they wanted to create for their guests. Relaxed. That is definitely the word we would use to describe these two. For example, Joyce was awarded a trip with her company so the week before the wedding they took a trip to the Arizona Biltmore! I love that they had so much trust in their vendors and that they were able to take that time before their big day to enjoy one another.
It was a gorgeous Saturday at Blue Rock Estate. The bride and her ladies used the bridal suite for hair, make up, mimosas and lunch while the gentlemen had lunch at The Saltlick then put their feet up in our grooms quarters before the ceremony.

Every wedding has a favorite moment. For us it was hands down Joyce’s walk down the path to her groom. She was flawless and full of genuine emotion. As she turned the corner to see Stephen she paused as happy tears fell down her cheeks. It was a moment made for the movies. As she joined Stephen under our large oak tree dripping in crystals, chandeliers, lanterns and fresh orchids you couldn’t help but feel special to be included in such an intimate moment.
Cocktail hour was set up around the pool for guests to enjoy the waterfall and terrace while listening to Charles play the most beautiful songs with his acoustic guitar.
From there guests came into the ballroom for the first dance. Right on time, the night began, uplights came on, heavy hors d’oeuvres were passed and the dance floor quickly filled up.

One of the unique features of this wedding is that they had heavy hors d’oeuvres passed all night. Pink Avocado outdid themselves here! Chicken fried oysters, mac n cheese, bite size caprese, baby grilled cheese on top of soup shots, and late night sliders to name a few. Mmm mmm mmm!!
DJ Gatsby kept the crowd moving with his mash ups of new and old music as he spun from the balcony over the dance floor. There wasnt a guest in the building that wasnt moving by the nights end.

Joyce and Stephen left Blue Rock in bubbles as they held hands down the butterfly garden pathway lit by tall, glowing vases with floating orchids. Disch Events surprised us all with floral detail up to the very last moment

Thanks to all for letting us be a part of such a gorgeous and RELAXED day!
